I've just released a web app that is like ebay pulse but slightly better. You can think of it as a social bookmarking of hot items on ebay. My app will show you the 100 top watched items for whatever search string you put in, for whatever category you choose. You can drill down into the subcategories and find niche markets.

Let's say you want to find out what toys are hot. You can use the tool to find out what toys everyone is watching. It's very useful for the seller and the buyer. The buyer can find great deals in a hurry. You just see what everyone else is watching. In many cases, those items will be the best deals on ebay.
